June (and July) happenings

Minneapolis, I have another local event coming up this week: I’m tabling at Inbound BrewCo’s Pride Book Fair at their taproom in the North Loop on Saturday June 20. I’ll have books and stickers available for sale, and it’s looking to be a nice mild day.

Another big announcement: I’ll be spending the entirety of July at the Arteles artist residency… in Finland! With my last big project (Unauthorized Bread) in the can, I’ve begun to brainstorm a new graphic novel and am looking forward to having a month where its development is my primary focus. I’ve gone to artist residencies before – once in Georgia while working on Meal and once in Wyoming during my first year of drawing O Human Star. It’s a rewarding experience to spend time with a multidisciplinary group of artists, and it’s going to be a pleasure traveling to another country I’ve never been to before but always heard great thing about!
